Miscellaneous CDs
Some recent, some ancient. Many from my "Olde West CD Manufacturing" days, my first in-house design/art director job in San Francisco. (See also my separate pages for “Birds of Chicago,” “Cascada de Flores”, Wide Hive Records, and Copper Creek Records CD packaging.
A few CD notes:
I recently worked with Stephen Mougin of Dark Shadow Recording on Rick Faris and Becky Buller’s CDs, and the brand spankin’ new CD by Mark Schatz and Bryan McDowell! // I’ve also thoroughly enjoyed working with many local musicians—including Laurie Lewis and Kathy Kallick (“and Laurie Lewis” beautiful cover illustration by Tom Rozum) // Kathy Kallick Band "Count Your Blessings" - embossed/letterpressed by Stumptown Printers // A couple of CDs for my two bands, The Crooked Jades and The Stairwell Sisters // Mushroom's "Hydrogen Jukebox" (with Pat Thomas) was my first letterpress job, printed by Independent Project Press in a few color combos (this one in red+silver) // Rilke String Quartet - one of my first CDs—still a favorite, simple, clean design // my scratchboard art/illustrations for Diane Ferlatte’s grammy-nominated “Wickety Whack—Brer Rabbit is Back” (Diane’s story-telling backed by my bandmate, Erik Pearson), my art and also for Red Hot Chachkas CD // an "analog" cassette (remember those?) for Amy Tan who was part of the "Don't Quit Your Day Job Records" family // and oh so many more...
